The girl who sings is a friend of mine, sweet and very beautiful. A former miss Denmark :)

Hi Torben,

Your friend has a beautiful voice! And your accompaniment on the keyboard is first class. It must make a difference when playing a keyboard for something like this .. you don't have to play the melody! Thanks for posting.

Hi Hugh :D
Thanks - and you are completely right. To accompany a singer is very different from playing the song yourself - which I personally find easier. When you play the song with your right hand the chords come more “natural” :D
Best greetings

Hi Torben,

I know exactly what you mean. I play an organ, so it has foot-pedals. If I were to record the Upper and the Lower Manuals first and then try to add a bass line afterwards .. there's no way I could do it. My brain is programmed to play bass notes to whatever chords I am playing, and if I'm just listening I have no idea what chords are being played .. even though it is a piece I played myself. And by the way, I don't read music. I 'play by ear' .. or rather, chords.

I've just noticed too that I need to be playing the melody with my right hand in order for my left hand to play the right chords. Must be how my brain works!

Dear Hugh

You are not alone. I have exactly the same problems. It must be universal

Hi Torben,

Thanks for that. It has certainly cheered me up.

Just wondering. Where does she keep her microphone?
