Looking around for a midi program to display music scores from downloaded midi tunes with some editing features I came across this today.(mentioned above)
Previously I have used Power Tracks audio 12 but it does not seem to load properly in my new windows 10pc (previously w7)
Anvil is a free download and it was possible to download the score from internet midi tunes but I could not find how to get the program to display the chord symbol above score line (G7 etc.) anyone here at forum experience of the program or another suitable freebie?

Hi Devonplayer,

The free version of Anvil Studio is very limited in what it can do, so it may not be possible to achieve what you want without
having to buy an extra module to achieve what you want, not really sure what to suggest as and alternative to anvil ?

Heres a few links that may or may not be of use

Hi. Brian007 gave each link a trial run and will wait for pgmusic to do their end of year sale for midi and biab uploads seeing I have been with them over twenty years, learning new software gets more difficult for me these days. Thank you for your suggestions and freely given time. John. devonplayer.

Hi Devonplayer,

Understand exactly what your saying about learning new software, its not as easy when you are older compared to when you were younger,
and it's also true that the more you use one piece of software the more proficient you can become using it,

Its a good idea to wait for the sales, if I buy software for my iPad I always wait till around Christmas time as it can be upto 50% cheaper,

All the best, Brian007
