Here is another Beatles song I recorded on PA4X, 'Free As A BIrd'

The 'Style' on this was created by using the 'style creator' facility built into the PA4. Simply enter a midi file of your chosen song onto a USB memory stick, and one click on style creator will create a style in seconds, with 4 variations, 2 intros, three endings...fab!

Click the orange marker on the Soundcloud LINK below to ‘Play’.

There is more on this in Sheet Music: Request & Share. Peter's version again; one by Roconi; and a Piano Tutorial showing you how to play it. Plus two versions of the sheet music (PDF) that you can download if you want to play it.

Hi All,

Something a little different EDM Electronic Dance Music ? I like some of it as it seems to be replacing the good old Instrumental numbers of the 60s and 70s

That Korg PAX4 is not too shabby either

Hi Brian

Thanks for posting the Youtube Vid. Its good to see something a bit different and how easy it appears to be able to make music without too much fingering (providing you know what you are doing)

Hi Fred,

Well thats a big part of it knowing how to get the best out of your instrument and
that takes a lot of time and dedication to do that,

Brian,

Yes, thanks for posting the YouTube Video. I really like this type of music. It is harmonious and has a good beat. And of course the quality of the recording is superb, unlike a lot of 50s and 60s music. I am always amazed at how good the recordings are from our keyboards, and all in Stereo. There was a time when one used to have to go to a recording studio to make a recording like this. Now we just do it in the home.

Hi Hugh,

Things have moved on from the early days of the old tape recorder with the mic stuck in front of the Radio or TV

Heres another short video of the PAX4 this time demoing Choirs and Strings

Thanks Brian

The PA4 is an incredible keyboard, especially since it has just received the latest Version 2 free upgrade from Korg. There is also a lot of free styles and files that Korg make available on their site for download.

Great pricing, DNC voicing, weighted touch sensitive keys, superb samples and styles, beautiful touch colour screen, built in style converter (that works really well), TC Helicon voice enhancer and a quality aluminium build make this the hottest keyboard arranger on the market today IMO.

Wow - converting midis to styles is magic. There are a few (5) Beatles songs that I'd love to have the Korg style for so that I could convert each one to use in my Technics KN7000. Would you mind doing that for me?

Well, I could give it a go if you like. There are of course varying degrees of success with style converter. A lot depends on the quality of the midi file.

If you send the five midi files that you like to me prslack@ntlworld.com - then I’ll convert them for you. They will of course play on the PA4, But they will I’m sure need converting again to play on your KN7000.

Hi Hugh,

Those tutorial are very good and most of what's there will also be relevant to the new Pa700 and Pa1000
so even if you dont have a PAX4 well worth a read.
