The Music with Movies board is specifically for 'scenic' movies (ie. photographs or videos of scenery) with musical accompaniment played by a Member.

This new board is for videos where you can watch the player 'playing' .. so you can see what buttons they press; or videos that show how the keyboard has been set up (maybe information scrolling up the screen as the music plays). This does not have to be a Member playing ..

So if you come across any videos of someone (anyone) playing a keyboard where you can see clearly what buttons they are pressing and you think others may be interested in what they are doing, click the below to go to the main page of this Board ...

We only want videos where the sound is of good quality. This is usually achieved by recording from the keyboard itself as the person is playing, and not recorded via microphones. You can see from this video below how Member MichaelW does his recordings. He is recording to AUDIO (not MIDI) as he plays, and you can see this clearly on the screen of his Genos 2.



Tyros Tipsters (now Genos Tipsters) always use microphones .. as they are talking, explaining something .. so the keyboard itself never sounds as it should.

When watching as an embedded video, if you hover over the bottom right symbol you see this:



Clicking on the square fills your screen with the video so you get a really big picture. Then don't move your mouse and all the video info will disappear. To get out of this ' Full screen' mode, press the Esc button (Escape) on your keypad, or you can click on the cross symbol, bottom right (you have to move your mouse for this to appear).



Take a look at the other symbol, bottom right .. the CogWheel. Hover over that and it says 'Settings'.



Click on the Cogwheel and you get this:



Click on the right-arrow by Normal and you get a choice of Playback speeds for the YouTube video.



If you had a tape recorder, slowing it down would drop the pitch, but as this is a 'digital' recording what it does is just slow it down. You can see how this would be useful if, say, you slowed it down to half speed. If you are watching someone playing a keyboard and want to see what keys or buttons they are pressing .. then slow it down and it will be much easier for you to see what they are doing!
