By The Time I get To Phoenix

Here is my offering to the challenge, By The Time I Get To Phoenix. It is a song about a young man finnaly leaving his girl friend.

By the time i get to Phoenix
She"ll be risin'
She"ll find the note i left hanging on her door
She"ll laugh when she reads the part i'm leaving
cause i've left that girl so many times before

By the time i make Albuquerque
She"be working
She"ll prob'ly stop at lunch and give me a call
But She"ll just hear that phone keep on ringin'
off the wall
Thats all
By the time i make Oklahoma She"ll be sleeping
She"ll turn softly and callmy name out low
And She"ll cry just to think I'd leave her
Though time and time i've tried to tell her so
She just didn't know i would really go.

Hello there Roy,
A very nice performance of this fine old number well played I enjoyed my pleasant listen my friend. :D :D :D

Jon D. :) :)
Hi there I have played from the age of 13 and all my music is played in a sort of dance tempo style. Have worked in nearly all the North East clubs over the years. That gave me a good grounding. Cheers.

Roy,

I liked the switch of sound to the softer organ voice. A nice contrast.

That's two songs you have put up where a 'partner' has left. Would like to feel that they get back together again!
