It was Christmas time in the south of England. King Arthur had organised a party for all his followers. They were having a huge feast with lots of the local mead.
The minstrels played and everyone sang at the top of their voice. Well, not everyone. One fellow sitting at the round table did not sing. One of the serving wenches tried to cheer him up a bit but to no avail. Eventually, after some time, she went up to King Arthur and asked what was wrong with that fellow that he does not sing?
“Oh", said the King. “He never does. He is the -------------- Silent Knight.”
