As Time Goes By.

Postby JohnS » 23 Oct 2021 10:08

This evergreen tune was written in 1931 by Herman Hupfeld.
I haven't heard of him in connection with any other music.
But he composed a corking tune here.
It's been used in countless films and TV series, and always fits right into the plot.

See here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/As_Time_Goes_By_(song)

I love playing it.

Here it is :

And another here :

Please enjoy.

Hi John Enjoyed my listen of both versions. Easy to listen too. Pictures were appropriate. Version one would get my vote. Always liked the tv series with Judy Dench and Geoffrey Palmer classic comedy. John

Hi John,

I have listened to both your versions and in both of them you have a very 'laid back' way of playing music, which I love. Everything you play just seems to flow naturally. Out of the two, I thought your second version was a superb arrangement of this piece. I particularly liked the voices you chose, and how the accompaniment strings were 'playing' to the song.
