I love the sound of the first few bars of this song which go "Pardon me mam is that the Chattanooga Choo choo Track 29 boy you can give me a shine? My grandkids sing " Pardon me Roy is that the cat that chewed my new shoe."
There are another that I like.
It goes to the tune of "The Carnival Of Venice" and my grandkids sing the following words to The Carnival Of Venice ------ A doggie stole a sausage 'cos he was underfed. The cook she saw him take it, and now poor dog is dead. And all the little doggies were very sad that night, they raised to him a tombstone, and on it they did write, "A doggie stole a sausage".

JT,

Love that! Grandchildren can be such fun .. the things they come up with. When my two youngest granddaughters were about 8 yrs old (they are in their late teens now) their favourite one was the Grand Old Duke Of York, which they used to sing in the back of the car when I picked them up from school.

The Grand Old Duke of York
He had ten thousand men
He marched them up to the top of the hill
And he marched them down again.

And when they were up they were up
And when they were down they were down
And when they were only half way up
Their trousers all fell down!

Fits of giggles!
