My PSR S770

Hello, I wrote this in fun. It is NOT racial in any way. Members of other forums often expressed their wish for a black Yamaha and they got it with the 10th anniversary T4, and now the Genos. I like my silver Tyros. ALL the Yamaha kbds I have had from the PSR 1100 to my S900 were all silver. So here goes. Regards,Den.

I bought a little Yamaha
All I want to play
Is little Ba Ba Black sheep
And the Darling Buds Of May.

But when I opened up the box
O dear alas alack
The thing that’s looking back at me
Is definitely BLACK.

I look at my nice Tyros
All shiny silver sheen
A magnificent keyboard
A something to be seen

It could have been a Hammond
Or yet a Casio
There is one thing that is certain
That BLACK just has to GO.

I called the shop and asked them
If they would take it back
The answer was decisive NO
Just because it’s BLACK.

Now all the world will look at me
When I go out to play
“He’s got a Yamaha that’s black
Oh dear, how sad” they’ll say.

With a black eye on either side
Staring out at me,
The fiendish thing is thinking up
Of things that make me pee.

“I’ll shift the keys, he’ll play wrong notes
I’ll even change the key.”
But with my awful playing
They all will think it’s ME.

Now with some silver paper
Some sticky tape and glue
This could become a Yamaha
All shiny, silver NEW.

It arrived today! (some time ago now)
In a brown cardboard box. My new Yamaha PSR S770.
I opened up the box with great expectations and then to my horror—the thing was BLACK.
It was burned? Over cooked? I touched it but the black did not come off.
I rushed off to the hardware shop and asked to buy a spray can of silver paint. I was refused as I did not have my Victorian drivers license and my birth certificate with me. You just can’t get anything in Victoria without a Victorian drivers license.
I went to Kmart but the silver sprays there were for Christmas not for sale now. I went to the panel beaters but the only thing they had was chrome (I use google and Firefox not chrome) and I thought that was just tooooo shiny.
I returned home and there it was, teeth all bare smiling at me like a Nigerian that had been on the Gin for a week. I decided that I could relegate it to under the bed, not the one in the house but the one in the shed. I would have to do this at night so the neighbours did not see. How could I live with others when they found out that I had a BLACK Yamaha? Still, I suppose when I do night time gigs no one will notice. Will just have to play gospel soul music to fill the scene.
