Hi

Here's this week's music for our virtual service at Wolston Baptist. This being the first Sunday of Lent, I thought I'd start with some Bach - a Chorale Prelude on a German Lutheran chorale (hymn tune). I've played the tune first. The prelude itself takes the form of a Canon - the tune appearing first in the pedals (at 4 ft pitch), and just a little later in the inner part on the manuals at the interval of a 5th. Just an example of Bach's genius!



The next two tracks come from my archive, recorded last year. First up is a worship song that I did as a piano/organ duet.



The second archive track is a short song, written by a former General of the Salvation Army, using a tune by Elgar.



Next up is a sung prayer



The service closes with another sung prayer



This week's bonus track is the hymn Forty Days & Forty Nights - with a prelude (manuals only) by C.S. Lang
