Hi

Here's this weeks hymns/songs, starting with "Thou whose almighty word". Interestingly, I discovered that the writer of the words was a former Rector of a church in the next village to where I play.



Next up is "Let us break bread together". My old digital piano (Roland ep-760) gets an outing, and I've added a bit of Dreamflute (a type of recorder) to this. Sadly, I hadn't played recorder seriously for around 3 years due to my health problems & Sue's illness - I need a lot of practice! I also need to do something about lighting for the videos!



The final hymn is fairly recent, and I've chosen to play it on Piano & the Viscount Cantorum V.



In addition, I had a request from a Facebook friend for "I Need Thee Every Hour" to go with a project he's working on, and I was glad to oblige.

Hi Tony. Remember the first one a lovely tune. The second I liked the recorder particularly the solo at the end. Liked the third one with the piano a nice arrangement. Enjoyed them all including the last one. It is the anniversary of the passing of my mother. Unable to visit the crematorium to see the Book of remembrance so have seen it on line. They do say, "There's nothing like the oldies", so when I saw your first Hymn, Thou whose almighty word I was hoping it would not be to some 'modern' tune but the one I remember from days gone by. And it was. Moscow. This Hymn has some beautiful harmonies in it, and you have played it superbly! I have added this piece to my Topic on Interpreting a piece of music you play.
