Hi Everyone. Well it was another good night despite the low turn out of eleven. Three of the members brought keyboards a Korg. a Yamaha and a Technics.. The theme was Marches although members can play what they like. A short list of what was played and by whom?
JohnT. Land of hope and glory, Scotland the brave.
JonD. Abie my boy, It's a long way to Tipperary.
Bobby Nice girls love a sailor, I do like to be beside the seaside.
Nick. Albatross and Apache.
Clem Aquarius and Walk on by.
Brian. Colonel Bogey and Great escape theme.
George. Blaze away and Anchors away
To finish off Bobby and JonD did a medley duo which included Honey suckle rose and Chattanooga choo choo.. Which was good to listen to, made a bit of a change.
A good night was had by all I think the crack and the music was excellent.
Trying to get members to post tunes I will do some once JonD has finished painting the hall and can spare the time teaching me.
The next night is Monday 8th September definitely got the date right. Nick is bringing his Yamaha.
Once again thanks to all who attended particularly those who brought keyboards and played. See you all next week. John
