A look at some 'real' clarinets

Came across this video of clarinets .. acoustic ones. When playing clarinet on your keyboard it's always a good idea to know how a clarinet should sound. In this video you see some de-constructed clarinets which should give you a pretty good idea of how they work. And can you tell the difference between the sound of the various clarinets he is testing? Give yourself about 20mins to watch this.

Just how bad IS a $90 clarinet? And can you hear the difference?

Hi Hugh,

Not a instrument that I would ever consider playing apart from on a keyboard but just shows you get what you pay for

All the best, Brian007

Hello Hugh,

Always wanted to play a clarinet when younger, fingers wrong ( my excuse anyway)
Fascinating video of what the expert looks for and what can be done.

Regards,
