Changing TEMPO in a song

Usually, when we play a piece we stick to the same TEMPO all the way through from beginning to end. Well, maybe slow down gradually as we get to the end. Changing TEMPO in a song is a nightmare for dancers! But then I suppose it all depends on what sort of dancing you are doing. Here's a video by David Bennett on this.
