Recuerdos de la Alhambra

Postby ChuckH » 19 Sep 2018 21:39

I surprised myself tonight with an impromptu recording of the classical Spanish guitar piece “Recuerdos de la Alhambra” on the Ringway Rs1000e. Unlike the AR where you can make any voice iterate, the Ringway doesn’t offer that option so I had to choose Mandolin as the only iterating voice available. I tweaked that using the Flanger and used the standard Mandolin as Upper-1 and the tweaked Mandolin as Upper-2 and got something of a slightly ever changing iteration to overcome what would otherwise be a fairly monotonous sound over the course of such a long piece.

Hi Charles Never heard that one before. Loved the mandolin and use of expression. Slowed down nicely in parts. Most enjoyable. John

Hi Charles,

What always amazes me is that you are playing every note that we can hear. No 'automatic backing' being used. And I know too that you are not playing this from any 'written music' in front of you, and you are doing it all 'by ear'. You amaze me!
