Most things are new to Genos. Fitted Flash memory so no more having to buy separate memory. No more Hard Drives but internal 58Gb.
USB port for security to which you can use up to a 250Gb stick if you wish. Two other USB ports. No dongle needed as now internal. New sound processors New Revo drum kits New SA2 voices. OTS reworked on all styles to include new voicing. This is just to name a few things.

I sincerely hope you are correct Eileen, however I doubt if your statement will be correct, the manual suggests that some countries will have the dongle included in the package and some not.

Dongle is now built in the keyboard so no need for an external one. Confirmed with Yamaha Tech Department.

Whilst being very interesting there is an awful lot more to Genos. We must also remember he is a dealer in the USA and did state that organ world was not on Genus any more but it is.

The guy is a dealer and to me he was trying to promote the similarities between the Tyros 5 and the Genos
probably for his own reasons, but as the roll out continues hopefully more reliable info on the keyboard will emerge

Yes Brian,
The fact that all our old content that has probably taken years to collect will still be usable is brilliant. Of course some will need tweaking to our own taste but that is all part of the fun.

Looks interesting , for me I would have to try it out to form an opinion, just depends how positive the response is from it
so reserve judgement on this one for a while

Early days but things are looking promising, but lets face it, if there wasn't any improvements over the current model there would be not any point
in producing a new model, just like cars each new model is better/different from the preceding one, but its all subjective to what you want or need
from of your keyboard.
