In 1973 Paul Simon (of Simon & Garfunkel) released Kodachrome, recording this as a solo artiste. It is named after the Kodak 35mm film Kodachrome. Reckon this would make good material to play on a keyboard.

Hugh, I have never heard this by Paul Simon but I know the song.
I have definitely heard it performed by a group, either on a record or a live performance
but I can't think by whom :?:

Hi Brian007,

I was saying that every so often I hear stuff that really inspires me to have a go at playing it, and this is one of those pieces. Thing is, I first heard it in 1973 and now, 44 years later I still haven't got round to playing it. Love the 'beat' and the harmony/chords that make up this song.

Brian007 .. can you tell me that website where you can put in a YouTube clip and out will pop all the chords with bar lines between? I know you mentioned this somewhere.

The other Brian .. if you can think of who else has played this that would be a help.

Hugh

PS. With cameras these days all being 'digital', can one even buy 'Kodachrome' any more?

Here is the true story of Kodachrome. Includes an extract from the song I have posted above.

We have been sorting out family photographs and I don't have any 'digital' ones of our children growing up. I had a 35mm camera at the time and all the pictures we have were taken on Kodachrome and have ended up as prints. As we were sorting them out I was reminded of this song Kodachrome, which I just love to listen to, so I thought I would resurrect this Topic.

I have come across another video of this song which has some great pictures (taken on Kodachrome film?). I still want to play this, so now I have a Tyros 4 keyboard I should have a go at it.
