Using the Vocal Harmony on the Tyros 4

I came across this some while ago .. Robbiedoes using the Vocal Harmony on his Tyros 4. Completely blown over! Didn't know you could do this with a keyboard .. sing into a mike and have your voice transformed into the chord you are playing on the keyboard.

PaulaD has used this feature briefly in her recording of My Way in her video 'At the Inauguration Ball'.

I don't have Vocal Harmony available on my AR (wouldn't be much use if I did as I can't sing anyway), but listening to this inspired me to have a go at this song:

I have a vocal harmoniser on my Korg's PA4 - It really is amazing.

I rarely sing, but I was dying to have a go. So, I chose a number by Pink Floyd called 'Breathe' which has strong vocal harmonics, and I gave it a go...it's only short you'll be pleased to know.

I managed to do the whole thing 'live' i.e. singing and playing at the same time.

No laughing, please!

Peter,

That is amazing! It adds a new dimension to the 'voice' one can use for the melody. No need to be shy as one doesn't really need a 'singing voice' to do something like this. The electronics does it all for you .. and I presume you wouldn't even have to sing in tune (not accusing you of anything, Peter!).

If anyone else has a 'Vocal Harmonzer' on their keyboard .. can you please have a go and post it here?

Hugh

I need to be accused Hugh!

I think that the pros use them anyway half the time.

Paul and Paula, Me and Me
Hi, my crazy sense of humor
Ok, the audio is all done with the vocal harmonizer on the PSR 970 and is the same as the T4, the audio is one take using different Reg.
Paul, I set up a male voice, :D Paula, using no VH :D and then the duet using the VH
I edit the vocal harmonizer and do not use the harmony presets
The VH is tied to the Reg. The Video is in two takes, Craig (hubby) is my video editor, sometimes known as crazy Craig
