I discovered this beautiful traditional Italian carol a couple of days ago. The words refer to Mary singing to Baby Jesus. It is unusual in that the tune for the refrain is in a different time signature and at a different tempo.

SLEEP, O SLEEP, MY LOVELY CHILD

Sleep, o sleep, my lovely Child,
King divine, King divine.
Close your eyes and sweetly slumber,
King divine, King divine.
Refrain:
Fa la la la, Fa la la la la, Fa la la la,
Fa la, Fa la, Fa la, Fa la.

O my sweet treasure, do not weep!
Sweetly sleep, sweetly sleep,
Close your eyes my Son, my dear one.
Sweetly sleep, sweetly sleep,
Close your eyes, my Son, my dear one.
Refrain

Keith

Hi Keith,

That was a well played piece considering the change in temp etc, so real good voices you used also, Enjoyed it very much
