The Greatest Gift Of Them All

The Greatest Gift of All was written by John Jarvis but Kenny Rogers performed it and seems to have done an Elvis and claimed it as his own. Dolly Parton performed it as a duet with Kenny. I struggled to find an appropriate arrangement for this one and settled for voices and strings with no accompaniment style- just drums.

Dawn is slowly breaking
Our friends have all gone home
You and I are waiting
For Santa Clause to come
There's a present by the tree
Stockings on the wall
And knowing you're in love with me
Is the greatest gift of all.

The fire is slowly fading
Chill is in the air
All the gifts are waiting
For children everywhere
Through the window I can see
Snow begin to fall
Knowing you're in love with me
Is the greatest gift of all.

Just before I go to sleep
I hear a church bell ring
Merry Christmas everyone
Is the song it sings
So I say a silent prayer
For creatures great and small
Peace on Earth, good will to men
Is the greatest gift of all.

Peace on Earth, good will to men
Is the greatest gift of all.

Hi Keith.. put together a nice choir. Liked the drums a bit different. Enjoyed my listen before I go out and put the Xmas lights up. John

Hi John, Glad that you enjoyed it. A good day for doing the lights but I think that I will wait a week before doing mine.

Hi Keith,

I am not usually a fan of scat voices but these sound good and I did enjoy that Christmas song, well played and voiced.

Christmas Lights  well be lucky if we can afford to keep them on in the house never mind outside :?: Money to burn   bah humbug
