Hi!
Brian your Fur Elise reminded me of my dear old mum. Every year she entered the local Eistedfod playing piano and always won her class. Last time she ever did it she played that piece. thanks
Brian 007 you cant beat the Beetles Thanks

What a diverse selection I have just listened to. Worn out after watching Brian's fingers conjuring up "Fur Elise." As we often say you cant go wrong with the Beetles and Brian did an excellent arrangement of "Yesterday." John took us on a gentle trip to Alpine pastures and Ken got me mrelaxed enough to enjoy a castella. Well played all of you.

I have thoroughly enjoyed watching the series "Dickensian" over the last few weeks and it brought back memories of the film "Oliver" from which my next entry comes. It is the sad, wistful song from Oliver when he asks "Where Is Love?"

Hi Keith Yes enjoyed Dickensian quite cleverly written. Also liked your version of Where is love. Quite sort of mournful and dramatic. Paints a picture of life in those days. Good sounds to match. John

Wotcha folks, I have had a very enjoyable 40 odd minutes listening to and watching your challenge uploads - great arrangements and some very good sounds you are getting from your instruments - well done to everyone :D

Here is a little number played from memory that I'm sure you'll all recognize from the 1970's TV series and film of the same name - Suicide Is Painless (M.A.S.H)

I hope you find something likeable about it :|

Enjoyed the theme from M.A.S.H. even though I must be the only person who never watched it.

I did, however see "Paint Your Wagon" and can still picture Lee Marvin singing (?) "I Was Born Under A Wand'rin Star."

Hi Keith,

Yes I can remember Lee Marvin's rendition of that song in the film.
You certainly found a suitable voice to use and managed to capture
the feel of the song perfectly. Brian007 :D :D

They say that you learn something every day and I think it must be true. After my last posting I sat down to have a play and "Aquarius" was the first tune I came upon. I had no idea where it was from so looked it up and lo and behold it was in the film "Hair" and also a more recent film called "Recess: Schools Out." So if you are in the mood for four minutes of stargazing psychedelic music this is for you - "Aquarius."

Good entry John, enjoyed it very much.

You will have realised by now that I quite like ethereal sounding music and this next one is no exception. Imagine that you are in the middle of the carnage of warfare but that you like to dream of a better place. This is such a dream from the film Les Miserables and the dream is of a "Castle on a Cloud." It has to be played without a style as it flits between 2/4, 3/4, and 4/4/ with a poco rit for good measure.

Hi Challengers,

This track featured in the Patrick Swayze film Ghost. Written by Alex North & Hy Zaret, "Unchained Melody" is one of the most recorded songs of the 20th century,

No multi-tracking or anything on this one, and a standard yamaha style also, so please enjoy. https://app.box.com/s/hkfx3e73ugzcmuq8win23n84koem3n9n

Hi Challengers

Here`s a golden Oldie from me, back to 1956 and from one of the most popular vocalists Mr Elvis Presley from the Film of the same name Love Me Tender
I have done this previously when I had the Korg but this was done on the Tyros. The style is Acoustic8BtBld at 82 BM.. Hope you enjoy it.

Hi Brian, I certainly did enjoy Love Me Tender. Like a good wine it got better as it went along!

As it is Sunday something appropriate to both the day and the Challenge is in order. Brian will not know this one, John might, I think that Ken will and possibly also BrianF. The tune is used in the film "Spitfire Grill" after being arranged by James Horner to suit a young girl hesitantly singing it out in the wilds somewhere. It is originally a spiritual but very much part of the male voice choir repertoire and I first heard it this week sung by the Morriston Orpheus Choir. The tune is "There Is A Balm In Gilead."

Hi Keith. Cannot place that one but a nice smooth tune. I don't think I could reach those high notes at the end. However a nice pleasant Sunday listen. May try and do a post but will have to do a bit practicing for Monday. John
