Busy Brian? You are a gentleman of leisure and the bedroom carpet must be fitted by now. I see that I will have to keep things going with this one from Percy Faith - "Christmas Is ...". So far so good for tonight John. Will bring a memory stick so I can join in.

Hi Keith,

I have muscles on me muscles at the moment humping furniture about, going to the tip with the old carpet and all the old stuff that`s under the bed :?:
and Christmas Shopping  but the end is nearly in sight. :P

Anyway that was a beautiful tune ( never heard it before  ) but the voices you used on that tune really fitted the tune
and very nicely played . Brian007 :D

Hi all,

Since Keith has shamed me into posting something as a man of leasure :o , heres my version of Rudolph the Red-nosed Reinder.
Please note I have since this recording had to Sack the sax player for persistantly playing wrong notes

Hi Ken,
A nice bright version of Jingle Bells, nice sounds there. :D :D

Hi Brian,
A well presented performance, nice interlude and then key change. :D :D

Hi Keith,
I didn't know the Percy Faith one but a nice tune and well played. :D :D
I had it in my mind to play White Christmas but you beat me to it. There were some really impressive voices there, a fine performance. :D :D

So as not to clash with Keith's fine performance I hastily changed my plans, I tracked down a piano solo arrangement for White Christmas
and it is the full tune.
More often than not these songs have a lead in verse and you seldom get to hear them.
The lead in to White Christmas is :
"The sun is shining, the grass is green. The orange and palm trees sway.
There's never been such a day in Beverly Hills L.A.
But it's December the 24th and I am longing to be up North. ..... I'm dreaming of a white......etc."

Ken - it was interesting to hear the bits that most books do not print. Nice piano and well played.

I wonder if you will all remember this one from 1955 -"Dear Father Christmas."

Hello,

can I take up the challenge with the my recent cover version of Melanie Thorntons Wonderful Dream?

The background choir comes from an audio link multipad.

Best regards - Michael

Another Christmas song from the early fifties. Written by Russell Faith who wrote for people like Sinatra but I have no idea who recorded this lovely gentle song. For JohnT - it is number 14 in the book and the rhythm is sentimental swing.

Hello and thanks a lot for your kind comments.

My I contribute another song named "When Christmas Comes To Town" from the motion picture "Polar Express" with Tom Hanks in a leading role. I tried to express the wonderful duet of the other two main characters - a boy and a girl - by using a clarinet and an oboe.

Best regards - Michael
