Ten minutes listening and i have had everything from Dylan to Bach with a bit of Elvis and Floyd thrown in for good measure. Great entertainment from the two Brians, and Kens. Loved it all.

That was amazing, cause you certainly managed to find the right style and voices for that song, enjoyed it.

Hi All,

Here we go back into my comfort zone ( popular music ) with this one.

"A Groovy Kind of Love" is a pop song, and it is heavily based on the Rondo movement of Sonatina in G major, op. 36 no. 5[by Muzio Clementi.
The song was released first by Diane & Annita in 1965, and several covers have since appeared on worldwide music charts.

I have done this before when I had the Korg PA900, but this one has been re-recorded on the Tyros 5, so please enjoy

Good morning John, Ken and Brian and thanks for starting my Sunday morning with three excellent recordings. Amazing Grace never ages and can be played by any group of instruments and still sound correct. John arranged and played it very well and we were off to a good start. The Air from Handel was very well arranged and played and I thoroughly enjoyed listening. Learning that A Groovy Kind of Love has classical roots was surprising but hey it is a good tune and was very well performed.
Now must go and find something suitable for Sunday beginning with A ....

hello. there are some very nice recordings in the topic, you all seem to be having fun. it almost looks like this is the only board this site has nowadays do you guys ever look at the other boards? I use to enjoy visiting and interacting with others on a wide range of topics to do with organs and keyboards but these days it where has it all gone? I cannot believe a Bryan Rodwell music video topic has only recived a single reply along with so many others. i hope this isn't the beginning of the end for this site, it was so refreshing to visit, now it's much the same as all the other keyboard forums.

Hi Keyboardplayer. Nice to have you hear to comment and glad that you enjoy our music. Those of us who take part are all having fun and that is the most important thing. Why don't you join in and accept the Challenge?

Hi Kens - No objection to a seasonal song as long as it begins with "A."

Hi KBP,

Thanks for visiting our little section and posting your comments, to be honest it was the sound of a Hammond organ and a Leslie speaker that got me interested in organs and keyboards in the first place, and I am always interested in anything to do with Hammond`s either from the past or present and to tend to watch most of Mikes videos via Facebook but do not tend to comment ? as my knowledge of them isn't that great and its not always the music I enjoy but still listen. But yes I have to agree there dose not seem to be the interest that they used to be.

Best Regards

Hi Brian007. Enjoyed a groovy kind of love. Nice sounds and arrangement. John

Hi Ken. Maybe it was A child is born. Never tire of the Xmas songs. Enjoyed my listen with some nice sounds. John

Hi Keith Really enjoyed the hymns. Brought back lots of memories trying to remember names of the choir boys, who I haven't seen for over 50 years. I did sing a long to a few. Thanks for playing them. Sorry got no money for the collection. John

Hi Keyboard player. Thank you for joining in. I am not on any other site I find that it takes up a lot of time just being on the one and giving it my full support. Other interests also take over, grandchildren, golf, allotment to name but a few. Also organise our two keyboard clubs, details of what we do and play can be found in The lounge section. Thanks again for your interest, looking forward to a musical challenge. All the best. John

Hello all,
There has been a lot of activity since I last looked, You have all been busy having fun. I have listened to all of your postings and have enjoyed going through them.

To keyboard player, I actually have listened to the first Bryan Rodwell video and when I have heard them all I will leave a comment. I personally use all of the boards frequently but I agree, it would be nice if more members became actively involved.

I hope that Brian likes this one because of the Hammond organ sounds and Kens because it is a Blues number. It simply asks the question "Am I Blue?"

Hi Keith, a nice number I hadn't heard before but I have since checked it out on You Tube and found a brilliant version by Billie Holiday.

I decided to look through some music books and play the first "A" tune I came to.
I had a quick run through the tune to select voices and then set up my camera so here is
As Time Goes By with no frills.

Hi Brian007, Brian D, John T and Kens - thanks for listening and commenting. I had never heard "Am I Blue", just liked the sound as I picked through it but will have a listen to Billy Holiday.

Brian - loved your "As Time Goes By" medley because that is my favourite way of playing though I make more mistakes than you.

I thought that it was time for a bit of classical and what was the first on up but the "Anvil Chorus" from Il Trovatore. Now I must apologise to Verdi because I could not lay my hands on a single anvil (not even down the back of the settee) so instead I took a march style and messed about with the instrumentation of the accompaniment until I came up with this. Not to be taken too seriously!!!
