Hi Ken

That was a good big band sound you used on that tune, must admit I have never heard it before
but that did not stop me enjoying it. Yes it was such a waste of all that talent when she did what she did
a very tormented young lady by all accounts.

Hi Keith,
Both Fiddler and Sabbath were very good, some dramatic sounds on the latter.

Hi John, I enjoyed both of your tunes, I don't know how to love him was played with expression.

Hi Ken,
Body and Soul was very professionally played and presented.

Hi! Guys. Thanks for your comments and I enjoyed one of my favorites in Jesus Christ Superstar. Great.

Here is one for the baritones from Showboat. Ol' Man River. I find it tricky playing the slow ones.

Hi ken,
A very fine performance of Old Man River, I quite often relax by listening to Paul Robeson and of course he is well known for singing that one.

Hi John, It is always good to hear a bit of Lloyd-Webber as he is most definitely of our era. You made a good go of it and it was an enjoyable listen.

Hi Kens, A very nice arrangement and I particularly liked the cornet early on in the piece and the ending was superb.

Thanks for your contributions.

This is another beautiful tune from "Oliver." Again a rather thoughtful, if not melancholy piece as Oliver asks "Who Will Buy?"

Hi Keith, A good version of Who Will Buy, the voices added quite a mysterious feel to it.
Brian D.
I wanted to do The Phantom of the Opera but I have mislaid the Music so in Blue Peter fashion, here is one I made earlier.
The recording levels were too high, hence the distortion.
It was a piano arrangement so I remember I just doubled the foot pedals with the left hand part.

Hi Brian D, Good to hear the organ sounds in Phantom of the Opera. There is no way I could play it at that speed without hitting even more wrong notes than usual. Well played and appropriate voicing.

For this morning's offering I am taking you way off the beaten track. It is from the musical "The Roar of the Greasepaint, The Smell Of The Crowd" which I have to admit I have never heard of. The song I have chosen is what I would call a tone poem and the words would suggest that you are in a scented pine forest on a beautiful sunny day with butterflies and dragonflies all around you. It is so beautiful that it is like a new beginning and you are "Feelin' Good."

Hi John, Glad that I jolted your memory a bit. I think I also jolted your finger as you posted your comment twice so I have deleted one of them.

This tune is from the musical "Stop The World I Want To Get Off." "What kind of fool am I?" No you do not need to tell me.

Hi Keith

Never heard "Feelin Good" before, the instruments you used did give it an oriental flavour maybe Chinese or Japanese
a pleasant tune to listen too.

"What kind of fool am I" was a great performance with some real nice sounding voices that captured the feel of the piece perfectly

Hi John, That was a good example of why posting the same title as another person is worthwhile. Edelweiss as written and performed in the Sound Of Music is a prissy pretty little waltz to be performed by children - my version. You, however, are prepared to knock the wheels off it, turn it into common time and use instrumentation that makes it very definitely adult in nature. Well done for being different.

Hi Keith. A nice simple tune which was very relaxing and sounds pleasant on the ears. John

Hi Ken. Thanks for posting. Can't bring that one to mind but peacefully played with appropriate sounds. You seem to be digging around for different tunes. I wish more would join in. Most of the tunes are a refreshing change. Keep them coming. Always nice to listen to your playing. John
