It is good to see someone else posing a challenge, and taking part. Thanks Ken. Your version of is beautifully voiced and a very gentle laid back version. I like something a bit different.
Will look later for something to play.

Hi Kens,

A good performance with some good strong voicing and played well. You don`t hear much blues played I must admit so it will make a nice change
Thanks for posting Brian007 :D

So if you are blue because of losing the Ashes I guess you must be from down under. I don't suppose that this offering will cheer you up much but it is a plea that I think we would all agree with "Blues Stay Away From Me."

Nice one Keith. Particularly liked the harmonica. When I was a nipper there were a lot of harmonica players about and blues were played a lot.
Also thanks to you guys who responded to my effort
cheers Ken

Well it's wet here in the North East, Brian is getting wet in Yorkshire so we are all feeling Blue. Maybe "Blues in the Loo." or as those who lost the Ashes might say "Blues in the Dunny" might like this rather catchy little tune. Written by Oscar Pettiford in 1955 I hope you enjoy "Blues in the Closet."

What do you mean Brian? You are in God's country at the moment. Still raining here, Corbyn's been elected and I am exhausted from looking down the back of the sofa. So much so that here is "Weary Blues."

Hi Keith. Well you are certainly finding a variety of blues. I haven't heard either of them. You put your own stamp on them. Not a blues player so may not join in. Enjoyed the sounds and my listen. Just back in time from garden centre with some heathers as It is chucking it down. Relaxing watching the golf Walker cup. John

Thanks to Brian and John for listening and commenting. Did I know the tunes before? I love the Challenges because it stops me playing the things I have played before or certainly know. With the Challenge I look (in this case) for the word "Blues" in the index of my books and have a go at anything I find. As soon as I played "Blues in the Closet" and "Weary Blues" they had a familiar sort of feel so I guess I have heard them at some time or other but certainly not known them. I find this much more fun that just picking a tune I know. There is so much downloadable free music on this site, and others, that building up a library of music is a doddle. I know that ones instrument probably does not have a dedicated style/registration for every tune, though perhaps Yamama do, but part of the fun is in choosing your own.
