Thanks for the comments folks. The Bohm is an organ that keeps giving - last night I was shown how to access about 120 drawbar presets so I will have to examine them next.

Hi Patty,

That was a real good performance of that tune, played with real feeling, a pleasure to listen to.

I understand that the top 100 tunes in America will probably be different from here in the U.K
so if you are struggling to find something you know on the list, why not play something from
the American top 100 for the year in question, Just a suggestion

Hi Patty, Nice to hear such a pleasant version of Sound of Silence. It certainly would not bother me if you posted the same tune as i have done so feel free to post your version of Strangers in the Night. Nobody has done what I expected to be on eof the first tunes to be covered so might just go and have a go at it but if anybody already has it in production please post even if I have posted my version. Now what tune was it????

Hi Thought I would squeeze another one in before I practice my Waltzes for tomorrow night. Had a trip to the Welsh Valleys for this one, The green green grass of home by Tom Jones. I remember seeing him live in a night club Wetheralls in Sunderland about 1966/67. I don't think he would like to sing along with my version. Hope you enjoy your listen. John

Hi Patty, Your version of Strangers in the Night was great. So different from my version and that is how it should be.

I sometimes think that these challenges are seen by some people as being competitive and that is why so many people do not take part. To me a modern instrument is like a huge box of paints etc. No two people will ever pick the same colours or apply them in the same way and in fact I probably never play the same piece twice in the same way or with the same voices. The challenges simply give you a prod to play something different and share your efforts with other like minded individuals. Some of us have been playing since childhood and some only since retiring. We all have different levels of talent as well as experience but I hope that we all enjoy what we do and I hope that we all support and celebrate each others efforts without worrying about how good we are.

I do not know what theme Brian has in mind for next week but I hope that nobody is put off from posting because another member gets in first, so to speak.

Hi All,
I wanted to get something in for this weeks challenge and as I said earlier I am not too well but I have had this illness for years and I am used to it but it leaves me extremely fatigued. I am a little better this evening but the sweat was pouring off me when I was playing this tune. Not to worry, I managed to get through it.

The tune is Pretty Flamingo by the Manfreds. I've seen this band three times and they are always very entertaining plus they always have a few well known guest performers on as well.
