Hi Brian,
Looked down the list and, in my option, there was some great music being produced then. Although I cannot play it on the keyboard I can play all those tunes in my head, couldn't say that of today's music.

Terry

Ps just changed my keyboard to a t5 and haven't got it sorted out yet but will try and give some of the tunes a try.

As Terry says there was lots of great music at that time. If permitted I might have a go at a few unless somebody does a tune I choose first. For my first here is Winchester Cathedral.

good version and a good listen. Just shows what can be done

Back again folks. You may be able to remember what I thought was an excellent drama series from 2009 entitled "All The Small Things" and starring Sarah Lancashire. The drama was set around a church choir and each week featured a song performed by the cast. The song in the first episode was "God Only Knows" by Brian Wilson of the Beach Boys and I have to say that I preferred their version to the original. It is only a short song but for some reason I found it more difficult than expected. I hope that you enjoy this rendition with a hint of damp!

Morning all. Thanks for the kind comments. I have been suffering with a very bad cold and hardly have the energy to play the organ let alone do the gardening which is definitely in need of doing. Hence the flurry of activity. If I do not feel better after a cup of coffee will probably look to see what else I can find on Brian's list.

Forty years ago a popular programme was "Sing Something Simple" with the Cliff Adams singers. The Mike Sammes Singers often appeared as guests. The Male Voice Choir I sing in happens to sing a Mike Sammes arrangement but I cannot remember which song it is. This song "Somewhere My Love" was a big hit in 1966 when songs had tunes and the performers could sing. Now i really must do some gardening.
