Tsunami Elegy

Blind Japanese pianist and composer, Nobuyuki Tsujii, composed this "Elegy for the Victims of the Earthquake and Tsunami."
He can be seen on YouTube performing it with tears dropping onto the keyboard as he played, and Hugh has put up a LINK to this in Music Videos, Member's Choice:

I was very moved by this most reverential piece and I have tried to capture some of the intense emotion he beautifully crafted into his composition which is both simple yet powerful.

Hi there I have played from the age of 13 and all my music is played in a sort of dance tempo style. Have worked in nearly all the North East clubs over the years. That give me a good grounding. Cheers.

Hi Charles Both very moving. Yours captured the atmosphere with the sounds. A fitting tribute to the disaster. John

Hi Charles,

A very moving composition, which you have interpreted so well. You have some very effective 'stereo separation' with the Harp at the beginning. One phrase to the left, and a sort of 'echo' to the right. I presume you accomplished this by having one Harp set up on the Upper and another on the Lower, with Pan's on each to left and right.

Love the ending with a Solo Violin playing the melody and a piano for the accompaniment.
