I haven't seen many videos of this instrument being played. Further to Andy's correction, I have altered my original post. Here is Keith Emerson playing " Fanfare For The Common Man "on a Yamaha GX-1

No, that's the GX-1 synthesizer, played by Keith Emerson. People do sometimes mix the two instruments up as they were around at the same time and did look similar. The GX-1 is the one that Mike has put at the top of the page. Here's a photo of the EX-42 for comparison.

Hello Brian,

Here's a couple of tracks from Shiro Michi on the Yamaha EX-42 ....

And here we have Benny Andersson playing the GX-1 with one of his compositions called 'Nationalsang'
The story goes that Benny gave his GX-1 away when he grew tired of it - don't know how true that is though

Hi Mike,
Thank you for taking the time to post these for me. I have listened to the first one, Shiro Michi on the Yamaha EX-42 and he is very creative and imaginitive. I enjoyed it immensely and I will listen to the others before the day is out.
Cheers,
Brian D
