Dame Vera Lynn

Hi Everyone. I replied to my own post of White Cliffs of Dover in the instrumental section. The sad news of the death of Dame Vera. I am sure lots of members will remember her wartime songs, which I have no doubt touched the hearts of many and cheered the nation in those troubled times. We could do with something like that now. May she rest in peace. God bless. John

Yes saw it on the news at 6 a very strong distinctive voice she had and even in her 90s she still had a strong voice, sadly missed.

Those songs brought back many memories. I was in a Japanese Internment Camp in China in WW2. I have posted my mother's story about this in the Forum, here:
