Ever composed a piece of music ?

Postby Brian007 » 24 Oct 2017 12:38

Hi ALL,

Ever composed a piece of music ?

Just sitting and doodling about and you created a nice chord sequence, then a good style to match, and then find a nice melody line , and just left it and forgot about it ? These people have taken it to the next level . Take 5 minutes and have a look here

Hi Brian,
Years ago, my hobby was writing songs but I usually used a guitar
as I found strumming out a rhythym the most convenient way to do it.
The most I do these days is to quickly write out a couple of verses for
practicing blues in different keys. underneath, G blues and Bb blues.

Brian,

Pond 5

This could turn out to be quite an expensive "doodle"! When listening to those clips of people 'doodling' you can hear "Pond 5" called out every few seconds. You wouldn't be able to use these tracks for anything meaningful. In fact, you can't even listen to the music for very long without it really getting to you. This music might be 'Copyright free' but you presumably have to become a Member and pay in order to listen to/use the music without those interruptions (although they don't actually say this anywhere).

Here are their subscriptions (raking the money in like Photobucket):

Not for me I'm afraid! I can think of better things to spend £80 a month on (if I even had a spare £80 a month).

Hi Brian,

A couple of good numbers there, I like most of the blues music with just a few exceptions
those sounded good to me both instrumental and vocally as well.

Hi Hugh,

I would not be paying to join Pond 5 as its called , what I was meaning was, when you listen to some of the stuff on there
the sound quality and the instruments to me dont sound any better than that of the Tyros 5 or PAX4 keyboards for that matter
as a lot of TV ads and themes are done on Digital Audio Workstations using instruments from sound libraries as sampled VST`s

Its just interesting to see what other people come up with and try to sell , just gives you an Idea of the standards required.
