Not upgrading ? how about a sideways move maybe ?

Hi All

For the people who are not upgrading to the new Genos keyboard but would maybe like a change or a move to a better keyboard than what you already have ?

I tend to agree with you, when you compare the features and the sounds and the good old value for money
Korg are going to be a strong contender.

I think things will get very interesting shortly as these 2 keyboards are priced very close together, and one has a lot of facilities compared with the other

I know which one I would go for if I was in the market,

The 970 won it for me. The sounds are much fuller and the styles were better. I would not want to swap my 970 as it is a great little keyboard.

Hi Eileen,

I have a Yamaha and I know what you mean about the sound its great CD quality, IF I was going to buy another Keyboard to sit along side of the Yamaha
I think I would go for the Korg just for the different sounds as Korg does have a bit more edgy a sound to it and some added facilities to it also

Hi Fred,

The styles thing is a valid point, but with that many be converted from Yamaha to Korg and vice versa for me I dont think its that big an issue,
but what is a bigger is the tremendous amount of 3rd party support there is for Yamaha as opposed to Korg.
