1) Some of the Wiki 'information' just plain wrong. (Wiki often is!) The page does not cite any sources but some of it is clearly taken directly from Frank Pugno's web page. Some of that is itself inaccurate.
2) This 'new' Thomas company is totally unrelated to the 'real' American Thomas Organ Company, which closed in 1979/80 when its parent company Whirlpool simply 'pulled the plug', despite there being a new, very competitive range fully developed and ready for market.
3) There's no real firm information that Thomas George's company was related to the earlier Thomas Organ company. Believe me, I've tried to find it!
4) I personally know an awful lot more - information that came first hand from the highest source possible - but I can't divulge it a) for legal reasons and b) I was asked not to! And it IS really interesting!
5) If anyone gets an answer from the current Thomas company, please let me know. Over at Organ Forum, we've tried several times without success. They did actually sign up as members of the forum at one point, but when asked to provide more info, or even a review model for the UK market, they disappeared and we never heard from them again.
6) When their web pages still talk about floppy disk drives and 'state of the art' Compact Flash technology, and organs having no less than 54 rhythm styles (the cheapest Yamaha keyboard has around 100) it makes you wonder.......

I'd love to see them still around, and on sale over here. With Roland and Orla now gone and the Bemore still pretty much 'on the way - sometime' we need more organ companies. Maybe they'll read this and chip in! :D
It's not what you play, it's not how you play. It's the fact that you're playing that counts.
