I am looking for some software (floppies) for this expander and understand Kn1200 floppy discs will work with this model. I know it is many years old. Can anyone assist please? .. Fred

Hi Fred.
It says in the user manual 3.5" 2Hd or 2DD floppy discs can be used.
These are readily available on ebay.

Hi Fred

I believe it is software you're looking for, not floppy disks. This site had a load of stuff to download but you'll need to join. I don't know if it's free to download, you'll have to try it.

Hi Fred,
No problem, I thought it was software you were after but I put the
note in about floppy discs anyway.

I have been looking on You tube at the Lowrey Prestige, it really is a fabulous instrument.
I have heard people saying that it is overpriced, maybe so but it can do just about
everything and it has a great amp and speaker system.
I hope you are still enjoying playing it. :)

Brian. I have to agree with everything you say about the Prestige but I have not even switched it on for a several months while I was caring for my wife. Sadly she died died suddenly in July and I have not felt like playing it at all. Recently I purchased a Tyros 4 and have spent most of the time learning my way around it.
Some years ago my local Yamaha dealer tried to interest me in a Technics SM-AC1200 at £400. I politely declined. Malcolm, on one of his visits up here was also shown the same instrument at the same price with the same result. Recently I saw the Technics on one of the higher shelves gathering dust and mentioned it to Malcolm who purchased it from the new owner for £50. When I collected it for him the proprietor mentioned he had another one so I bought it at the same price. ( I only collected it this afternoon as there was a wait for a missing power supply to be sourced) This included all the cables and five floppies full of styles. A few days ago there were three SM-Ac1200's on e.bay with starting prices around the £300 mark. Nuff said? .. Fred

Hi Fred,

I do remember you saying that your wife Barbara was very ill and that you
were spending most of your time caring for her.
Please accept my heartfelt sympathies for your great loss.

Sincerely,
Brian

Hi Fred

Apparently, files for the KN2000 are compatible with the AC1200. Here are some songs for the KN2000. You might like to try them before you download a load of files. This is the site they came from.

How true - over priced - over here.
Whilst the company belongs to Kawaii, Lowery is American and is geared to that market.
Wersi & Bohm - perhaps do not cost as much but quite near.
Roland pulled out of the organ market.
There is still Ringway/Orla!
