Broadband Performance

Postby Mike Bracchi » 16 Apr 2013 12:02

Hi,

Is your broadband getting slower or has it improved over the last 6 months .... click 'here' to check your speed and post the results here by pressing on 'share' and then copy and paste the 'forum link' into a reply post :D

It would also be helpful to give details of your BB provider ... thank you :)

Plusnet Extra Fibre ... £21.49 per month.

I have now been with plusnet for over a year and I have experienced only 5 hours of downtime since subscribing to them ... my bb speed has been a reliable & constant 30+ Mbps in that time.

Having tried them all ... BT, Virgin, Sky and TalkTalk I am able to say that Plusnet has, by far, been the best for me

You're lucky! I get about 1Mb, and not much hope of it ever improving because of distance to exchange. :-(

Been with PlusNet for years (I have tried others) and it’s been one of the most reliable, they are also provide excellent service when things go wrong. (Currently on ADSL2 however FTTC should be available towards the end of the year)

Just went over to Plusnet fibre.

Got 74 meg for the first 6 days, it's dropped to 60 now, but still a big improvement over the previous 6 meg. Phone line switched over as well from next week and the total cost is less than I was paying. So far so good, but I'd like to see the 74 meg performance come back!
It's not what you play, it's not how you play. It's the fact that you're playing that counts.

6.2 MB/sec down and just over 10 MB/sec up on Infinity 2 with BT. First 10 days it was around 65 but it's settled down over the last 8 months and the speed has been very stable.
