Re: Perfect Pitch, the world's greatest ear

Hi Hugh, When I did my hypnotherapy training, we were made aware of something in Neuro Linguistic Programming called eye accessing cues. It is to do with the direction your eyes move when you are remembering an image or a sound or constructing an image or sound. An expert is supposed to be able to t...

Re: Some Older Keyboards Still Sound Remarkably Good

I know that if I was in the market for a reasonably priced keyboard, I would look at something like the Orla Gt 8000 Sport Single Manual Organ Keyboard. You get modern sounds plus a pedal board at a fraction of the price of a Tyros. I think if it was possible, it would be nice to rig a stand to have...

Re: Organ and Keyboard Club, Weston-super-Mare

Sadly I don't think there is anything similar in my area.
I checked out your concert programme for 2017 and it looks brilliant.
Although I don't have any trips south of the border arranged this year,
you never know, I may be able to get to one of them.

Black Magic Woman

Every now and then I like to post up performances of people I have seen live.
Here is Alex Ligertwood. he was the lead singer in Santana for about 14 years.
I saw him along with Brian Auger.

Carol of the Drum

Although it is a simple melody, it is quite tricky to get the timing right. You may notice a lot of the Phrases end in the middle of the bar. and to keep the timing correct, I have filled the remainder of the bar in with the bass pedals. Count the beats, 1234 1234 etc and you will see what I mean. h...

Prelude in C major

This one is kind of a Christmas piece as it is J.S. Bach's prelude which Gounod used for his Ave Maria.

underneath is an example of the Bach/Gounod Ave Maria.

Re: Wonderful World Of Christmas

I don't know that tune but a nice performance Elvis's management always(or usually) insisted that he should receive a share of the writing royalties otherwise he wouldn't record the song. From the writers point of view, have a loaf is better than no bread at all. I remember Dolly Parton saying that ...
